Foundations of Flow: Balance Poses & TNA
Do you find balance poses wobbly and challenging? Are you looking for strategies to open up your Half Moon or take your Tree pose into a backbend? Does the cue "skin to muscle to bone" make you scratch your head? This Foundations of Flow workshop is for you!
In this interactive 60 minute workshop, Caroline will walk us through the poses in the Balance series of the Journey Into Power sequence, building the alignment that is so crucial when your foundation is reduced to just one foot! We'll discuss modifications and amplifications for each of these poses, so that you can find extra support on days when you feel unsteady, and challenge your practice on days when you're ready to test your limits. True North Alignment will guide our poses, as it guides every part of JIP, and we'll examine the way that it stabilizes us as we transition from Standing Big Toe to Airplane to Half Moon. Finally, we'll talk about the big picture of the Balance sequence - why it's essential to a Power Vinyasa class and what its role is at this point in the flow. Bring your questions and look forward to a fun discussion and breakthroughs in your own practice!
