Foundations of Flow: Grounding Poses & Chaturanga

Foundations of Flow: Grounding Poses & Chaturanga

Is Triangle pose your yoga nemesis? Are you looking for more space to fold in Pyramid, or wanting some tips for taking your Wide Leg Forward Fold into a Headstand? Does chaturanga feel like a struggle? This Foundations of Flow workshop is for you!

In this interactive 60 minute workshop, Emily will introduce beginners to the fundamentals of the Grounding series of the Journey Into Power sequence, as well as providing an opportunity for more seasoned practitioners to gain clarity in this section of their flow. We'll spend time breaking down each pose, building the correct alignment and learning modifications and amplifications that can take your practice to the next level. We'll take time to explore chaturanga, a pose that is fundamental to our transitions in Grounding and throughout the whole Journey Into Power, but often happens so quickly that our form can suffer. Finally, we'll talk about the big picture of the Grounding sequence - why it's essential to a Power Vinyasa class and what its role is at this point in the flow. Bring your questions and look forward to a fun discussion and breakthroughs in your own practice!

This event will be live-streamed on FlyDog Online at 12:00pm EST on Saturday February 27, 2021. It will be available to watch on demand for 24 hours after the live-stream airs.
